Details
This exciting, nature-filled day begins with you being met in your hotel lobby by your tour guide and escorted to the bus. Once all guests are on board you will head out of the city via Stanley Park and the Lions Gate Bridge. Beautiful harbour and bay views beckon as the sun climbs over the mountains to the east. Then it’s up the hill for a short ride on the longest paved road, the Trans-Canada Highway. The road ends a short 10 km away beginning your journey into the “Sea to Sky” corridor.
This marks the beginning of the end of your tour. Board your bus for the 45 minute scenic, fjord-side, return trip. The sun lowers below the distant mountains as the bus meanders along highway 99 back to the city and your hotel, but not before one last stunning harbour view on a second crossing of the Lions Gate Bridge. You may even end your day with a parade of massive cruise ships as they pass under the bridge on their weekly journeys to Alaska.
Note
Suggested Clothing: Dress in layers. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Don’t forget the fixings! Depending on the weather consider bringing sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, gloves and a waterproof outer layer. Any excess items can be stored on the vehicle while you’re exploring.
Accessibility: Minimal mobility is required. You may encounter some inclines, however pathways are paved. There’s a lot to explore. Be prepared to do plenty of walking.
